Turtle Lake started as a single private estate. When it was developed, the plan was cut from 277 homes to 122 so the land could stay what it was: mature oak and pine, glacial hills, and two lakes at the center. It remains the lowest-density luxury community in Bloomfield Hills and the only one built around a private lake.
